On January 12, 2014, it was the anniversary of 2 years founding the Professional English Guide Club. The Club Committee organized the seminar to enhance the knowledge to the Thai tourist guides.
The PEG Club invited the scholars from different fields to train our participants namely; Mr. Preecha Sangkachai, one of the most well-known tourist guides of Thailand, to tell about the change of the tourist guide profession. Mr. Alongkot Shookaew to explain the topic “Talking about the elephant professionally”. Finally, Mr. Patipat Pumpongpat, the archeologist, to tell about the “Archeological excavation of King Uthumporn at Mandalay.
วันที่ 12 มกราคม 2014 เป็นวันครบรอบ 2 ปีการก่อตั้งชมรมฯ คณะกรรมการจึงจัดสัมมนาวิชาการ เพื่อเพิ่มพูนความรู้แก่มัคคุเทศก์และผู้สนใจ โดยเชิญวิทยากรทำชำนาญแต่ลำสาขา มาให้ความรู้แก่ผู้เข้าร่วม คืออาจารย์ ปรีชา แสงขจาย มัคคุเทศก์รุ่นแรก ซึ่งได้บัตรอนุญาต หมายเลข 4 มาเล่าเรื่องการเปลี่ยนแปลงของอาชีพมัคคุเทศก์ ก่อนมีพระราชบัญญัติการท่องเที่ยวและและมัคคุเทศก์ อาจารย์ อลงกต ชูแก้ว ผู้อำนวยการกองทุนวิจัยและอนุรักษ์ช้างไทย บรรยายเรื่อง “เล่าเรื่องช้างอย่างมืออาชีพ” และอาจารย์ ปฏิพัฒน์ พุ่มพงษ์แพทย์ นักโบราณคดีชำนาญการ มาเล่าเรื่องการขุดค้นพระอัฐิสมเด็จพระเจ้าอุทุมพร ที่เมืองมัณฑะเลย์
